THE INTERSECTION

Redesigning Human Uniform

Today I’m spotlighting the new “Redesigning Human Uniform Collection” by @rhuigi x @zara. Now available. Highly recommend shopping the ZARA app – it’s worth a download.

Been noticing a hard lean into casual street wear by several huge, high end fashion brands. It gives an interesting edge to a segment that once screamed structure, sensibility and cleanliness.

No one does it like the originators though, the fashionistas that live in that lane big be in their bag. Rhuigi Villaseñor, Founder and CEO of @rhude, is one of the top designers in the current streetwear ecosystem.

Collabs might just be my be favorite vehicle when it comes to marketing in this industry. This drop is just pure heat, smh.

I never ruled out “men’s” clothing in my wardrobe. Similar to Ye and Thugga, I feel clothes are non-binary. My closet is filled with button ups, work pants and jackets from the boys section.

Size-wise I hope it works out for me if I do decide to cop. Personally wasn’t a fan of Jerry Lorenzo’s ESSENTIALS line, I copped like three pieces and I’m swimming in dem tings. I’m sure I’ll find a cool way to style them, it always comes to me at a random moment lol. The fit to my body type can be hit or miss with men’s fashion, but getting my hands on those pieces are worth the risk.

Excited to see more drops from this dynamic duo in the future, pretty sure they’ll make a pretty penny together. The strategy to be more accessible to a broader audience is tight. Pieces already selling out, naturally.

Thanks for reading. I’m finally back blogging. Stay tuned for more creative deep dives! Peace and love.
